RAINMAN® was founded by Dale Minter — a water systems specialist with years of hands-on experience across both NZ and rural Africa.

After returning to Waiheke Island, Dale was surprised to find many rainwater systems in worse condition than those he’d seen in remote parts of Africa. With rainwater being the island’s main water source, he knew change was needed.

He launched TANKMAN®, which quickly became Waiheke’s trusted name in tank cleaning and rainwater system maintenance. After inspecting thousands of tanks and improving water quality for countless residents, Dale sold the business and returned to Africa to deepen his knowledge of off-grid water systems.

Now back in New Zealand, Dale leads RAINMAN® — a nationwide service delivering reliable, affordable, and standards-aligned rainwater treatment solutions for Kiwi homes.

We're not just here to service systems — we’re here to share knowledge, set the standard, and help every homeowner understand their rainwater system better.
