Why is an annual UV & filter service important?
A good whole-house filtration system is your best line of defence against harmful contaminants in your rainwater — but it’s only as good as its maintenance. Over the course of 12 months, filter cartridges clog, and UV sterilisation bulbs lose their effectiveness. That’s why we offer a comprehensive annual UV & Filter Service to keep your system running at full strength all year long.
We supply the highest-quality filter cartridges to trap sediment, remove bacteria, and neutralise poor taste and odours in your rainwater. We service and check your UV ballast and bulb, ensuring it is sterilising your water effectively.
Clean water shouldn't just be safe — it should taste and smell good too. That’s why, wherever possible, we install a GAC carbon filter cartridge.
Get peace of mind with clean, safe, and healthy rainwater – from the tank to the tap.
FAQ: How often should my filters be changed?
Every 12 months.
Like a car’s oil filter, they need regular replacement to stay effective. If your pressure drops sooner, it usually means too much sediment is getting through — we can help fix that too!
FAQ: How often should my UV system be serviced?
Once a year.
UV bulbs lose strength over time and stop killing bacteria effectively, even if they still glow. We’ll also check your electronics, quartz sleeve, and o-rings during the service.
FAQ: Do you service all systems or just ones you've installed?
We service all major filter and UV brands — not just ones we’ve supplied. We carry a full range of replacement parts and can upgrade older systems too.
FAQ: What happens if I don’t service my system?
Clogged filters reduce flow, taste, and smell quality. An expired UV bulb stops sterilising properly — leaving your water unprotected, even if it looks clear.
FAQ: Can I service the UV and filters myself?
You can — but please be careful! You’ll need the right tools, genuine parts, food-safe o-ring grease, and proper shut-off steps. One wrong move can cause leaks, damage, or poor water quality.
We're always happy to do it for you... and the cost difference is negligable!
